Caitlin Hendy
Master of Advanced Nursing Practice student
Caitlin is a Registered Nurse working in Hamilton’s Hospital Admission Risk Program and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. After a workplace leader encouraged her to take the next step in her career, she began a Master of Advanced Nursing Practice. One of Caitlin’s biggest study challenges was finding the right place to focus. With much of her course delivered online, she needed a quiet and reliable environment for classes, assessments and exams. At CUCSG, Caitlin has access to quiet study spaces, computers, printing facilities and personalised support. One of her favourite discoveries has been the value of working with two computer screens. After exceeding her own expectations last semester, Caitlin was offered the opportunity to complete a thesis instead of coursework for her Master’s degree. Her longer-term goal is to gain further advanced-practice experience and work towards endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner. “CUCSG has been invaluable, providing a welcoming and supportive learning environment that has helped me progress confidently through my Master’s studies.”
